I have been working as a medical writer since 1994 and doing it on a freelance basis since 1999.
I am comfortable (and likely have experience) working in virtually every medical specialty and disease category, but specialties include psychiatry, neurology, women's health,urology, oncology, cardiovascular health, geriatrics, pediatrics, and public health.
In terms of types of writing, my experience is wide and includes medical news reporting, conference coverage, needs assessments, CME, and patient education materials.
